What
I Believe and Stand For
Religious Freedom – Freedom to have
religion without government interference, but not freedom from
all religion.
Right To Life – Protect the most
innocent and vulnerable from conception to the senior adult. I can
think of no justification for abortion except the possibility that it
would save the life of the mother.
Land Owners Rights – Limit the
government’s right to take property by eminent domain to the
extremely rare incidence where it is the only option to serve
everyone’s best interest. We need to limit the government’s ability to
dictate how personal property can be used.
Keep And Bear Arms – The second
amendment must be preserved to guarantee our other freedoms. Denying
guns to law-abiding citizens does nothing but make them vulnerable to
criminals. Criminals don't obey laws, no matter how many of them
you pass. Gun control laws don't work, passing more of them won't work
any better.
Voter Photo Identification – Missouri must have
a photo I.D. requirements to vote. When bus loads of people are brought
to the polls at closing time, and more people vote in some districts
than are actually registered, something illegal is happening. Illegal
voters dilute the votes of legal ones.
Stop Illegal Workers – Missouri needs
to pass and enforce strict laws against companies that knowingly hire
and exploit illegal aliens. Illegals dilute and lower the incomes of
unskilled and low skilled workers. There are very few, if any,
jobs
legal workers will not do if the pay is right. Other states have
reduced their illegal immigrants by allowing welfare and other social
benefits only to legal citizens, and by
passing and enforcing strict hiring regulations. The porous border is also a
security risk as terrorists can pass back and forth with little if
any resistance.
Taxes – The state needs to prioritize
it's budget, so there will not be a shortfall. Times are tough for
everyone now and we do not need additional taxes. The
government needs to address any budget shortfall by cutting fat from
existing programs, and eliminating fraud. Energy-We should reduce dependence on foreign oil by making Missouri a
leader in alternative energy sources. This would include incentives for
building systems that produce alternative energy such as wind, solar and coal
gassification from abundant Missouri coal.
